Jenkinsons Boardwalk, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ

Project Overview

Along the iconic Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach, the lights of the amusement area define its energy and festive spirit. The Fun House—one of the boardwalk’s most recognizable attractions—uses architectural lighting to express that sense of excitement and place.

To achieve this lively yet refined illumination, the design team selected Belfer’s MQ2502 Marquee Lighting – Wet Location fixtures for installation outdoors around the perimeter canopies. Powder coated to endure coastal weather conditions, these fixtures provide brilliant and reliable marquee illumination that enhances visibility and visual rhythm throughout the façade.

Each MQ2502 fixture contributes to a continuous architectural ribbon of light, capturing the essence of Jenkinson’s vibrant nighttime identity while ensuring performance that withstands wind, salt, and moisture from the nearby Atlantic coast.

Lighting Design Impact

The exterior canopies surrounding the Fun House come alive with the consistent, warm output of the MQ2502 system. The upward and outward projection of the marquee lighting defines the structural edges with clarity and glow, helping the Fun House stand out among neighboring attractions.

By combining festive presence with architectural control, Belfer’s MQ2502 fixtures achieve the ideal aesthetic for boardwalk architecture—balancing nostalgic charm with modern lighting technology. Their wet-location durability ensures year-round performance despite rain, salt air, and constant seaside exposure.
