Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Custom Railings and LED Railing Lighting

The Walt Disney Theater undertook a complete renovation of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Steinmetz Hall. We were asked to provide custom railings with LED lighting around the 4 seating areas in "the world's most acoustically perfect space".

Each of the 4 tiers of Steinmetz Hall, required custom engineering to align the lighting with the vertical grade changes in the seating area. The process required absolute precision that would allow guardrails and multiple stories of mobile balcony seating to line up with the static balconies.

Despite a near four year delay caused by Covid-19, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is a marvel of both technical engineering and construction and a beacon for a burgeoning artistic and performance community in the region.
