TPG Architecture, New York City, NY
Project Overview
TPG Architecture is a New York City-based design firm, established in 1979, that specializes in corporate interiors, retail design, and sustainable architecture. With roughly 220 professionals, the firm is regularly ranked among the leading corporate office and retail design practices in the country. TPG's design process centers on comfort, identity, and circulation, creating interior environments that serve each client's strategic objectives.
For a firm whose work is defined by thoughtful interiors, its own offices needed lighting that reflects the same standards. Belfer's Reflex RX1320 LED Recessed Indirect Lighting was selected to deliver smooth, low-glare illumination that integrates cleanly into the architecture.

Design Intent
The goal was lighting that supports the visual clarity and professional atmosphere expected of a leading design firm's workplace. Recessed indirect lighting installed above directs light upward and across surfaces, producing even, glare-free illumination that reduces eye strain and keeps attention on people, materials, and screens rather than on the fixtures.
The RX1320's clean architectural profile lets the lighting recede into the surfaces around it. Designers could choose the reflector, trim, and finish to match the office palette, so the fixtures read as part of the architecture.
Installation Highlights
The RX1320 installs in three steps. The backbox mounts in the wall between studs using an adjustable level, the reflector slides into the backbox, and the self-leveling, spring-mounted trim attaches to complete the fixture. This process supports precise alignment and a clean finished appearance, which matters in an interior designed by an architecture firm.
Housing and trim are ordered separately, so the team could specify trim style and finish independently. Dimming controls allow light levels to be tuned for different times of day and uses.
Results
The completed installation delivers smooth, low-glare illumination with a refined architectural presence. The RX1320 fixtures help create a comfortable, polished workplace environment that matches the design standards of TPG Architecture.
The project shows how Belfer's Reflex recessed indirect lighting suits corporate interiors, where visual comfort, energy efficiency, and architectural integration all matter.
