Wall Sconces in bedroom of private residence overlooking the water

Key Peninsula House, Gig Harbour, WA

Project Overview

Nestled within a lush, forested setting along the Puget Sound, Key Peninsula House captures the tranquil connection between architecture and landscape. Designed by VandeVort Architects, the residence blends wood, steel, and glass into a timeless structure that reflects the calm of its coastal surroundings.

Warm textures and natural materials define the interiors. To complement this palette, the design integrates Belfer WS7215 LED Wedge Lens Wall Sconces, finished in Black Powder Coat, mounted on rich wood wall surfaces throughout the home. Each fixture provides upward illumination, softly grazing the ceilings and upper wall planes to accentuate the natural grain and craftsmanship of the architecture.

This subtle yet powerful lighting strategy reinforces the home’s architectural rhythm—creating visual depth, intimacy, and understated sophistication across key living spaces.

  • Design: Contemporary wedge profile providing upward illumination
  • Finish: Black Powder Coat—contrast and definition against warm wood tones
  • Light Control: ELV1 dimming for smooth ambient adjustment
  • Construction: Precision-machined aluminum for seamless architectural integration
  • Applications: Ideal for residential wall lighting, corridors, feature walls, and modern retreats

Designed with simplicity and precision, the WS7215 brings architectural clarity to material-driven spaces. Its upward illumination enhances texture and volume while preserving visual quiet—making it a defining element in modern naturalist design.

Lighting Design Impact

On the wood walls of Key Peninsula House, each WS7215 fixture provides a quiet, sculptural light—directed upward to illuminate the architectural planes above. The gentle wash of light highlights the home’s timber construction without overpowering its natural character.

The contrast between the Black Powder Coat finish and the honey-toned wood surfaces creates a sophisticated balance, serving both as functional lighting and a subtle design statement. The result: warm spatial rhythm and visual harmony throughout the home’s living areas, corridors, and transitional spaces.

Private Residence Jackson, WY Home

Private Residence, Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Project Overview

Nestled in the dramatic landscape of Jackson Hole, WY, this custom private residence blends rustic architecture with refined modern interiors. The design team sought a lighting solution that would enhance the home’s warm materials and soaring ceilings while maintaining a minimalist visual footprint. Belfer’s RX1320 Reflex LED recessed indirect lighting was selected to provide ambient, glare-free illumination in the entryway, living room, and study—areas where light needed to feel both architectural and atmospheric.

Lighting Solution

The RX1320 Reflex LED fixture is a precision-engineered recessed indirect lighting system that utilizes concealed optics to reflect light upward and outward. It was installed in custom ceiling coves and architectural slots to softly illuminate walls and ceilings, adding warmth and dimension to the home’s open-plan interiors.

Fixture Specifications:

  • Model: RX1320 Reflex LED Recessed Indirect Lighting

  • Mounting: Recessed into drywall

  • Distribution: Indirect uplight via internal reflector system

  • Finish: Aluminum housing with precision louvers
  • Applications: Cove, perimeter, and architectural slot lighting

Design Intent

With sweeping views of the Tetons and interiors featuring exposed timber, stone, and glass, the home’s lighting design required fixtures that would enhance natural textures without introducing visual noise. The RX1320’s clean linear profile and indirect performance made it the ideal choice for key living and work spaces.

Installation Highlights

  • Seamlessly integrated to highlight custom ceiling detailing

  • Delivered balanced ambient light with no visible source

  • Eliminated ceiling clutter while preserving architectural intent

  • Dimming integrated with smart lighting controls for flexible mood settings

  • Designed for long life, low maintenance, and energy efficiency in high-altitude environments

Results

The RX1320 Reflex LED installation in this Jackson Hole residence proves that lighting can be both invisible and essential. The result is a home filled with warm, even light that highlights form, material, and space—supporting the architectural narrative from entry to retreat. Design continuity at its finest!

Wall Sconces in 4 season porch of private residence

Horseshoe Bay Residence, Austin TX

Wall Sconces in 4 season porch of private residence

Project Overview

The Horseshoe Bay Residence in Austin, Texas is a landmark example of lakeside living at its finest. Designed by architect Jay Corder, this expansive 4,100-square-foot boathouse redefines what a waterfront structure can be — combining a cozy living area, an upper deck for sunbathing, and up to four boat slips into a cohesive retreat that embraces its natural surroundings.

High ceilings and glass windows opening the home to nature frame sweeping water views across Horseshoe Bay, blurring the boundary between interior comfort and the lake beyond. As daylight fades, LED wall sconce lighting takes over, casting a warm, mellow glow that honors the rustic character of the boathouse while elevating its atmosphere for evening gatherings on the water.

Lighting Design Approach

The lighting design for the Horseshoe Bay boathouse balances rustic warmth with architectural precision. WS7215 LED wall sconces in a titanium powder coat finish were specified to complement the natural materials and tonal palette of the structure — warm wood, weathered surfaces, and organic textures — while providing reliable, dimmable illumination across the living spaces and open decks.

The titanium powder coat finish harmonizes with the earthy tones of the boathouse interior, grounding the fixtures within the space rather than drawing attention away from the natural views and water beyond. ELV1 dimming allows light levels to be tuned from lively and functional during daytime use to softly ambient as evening settles over the lake.

The result is a lighting environment that feels as natural and unhurried as the lake itself — serene, inviting, and perfectly suited to a rustic boat house overlooking the water.
