Belfer Lighting was selected to design and manufacture custom architectural lighting fixtures for the renowned Steinmetz Hall Theatre at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida. This project required lighting solutions that elevate the architectural design, enhance the audience experience, and meet the technical demands of a world-class performance venue.

Our custom lighting fixtures were carefully engineered to provide both functional illumination and striking visual impact, supporting the theatre’s elegant design and exceptional acoustics. Each of the 4 tiers of Steinmetz Hall, required custom engineering to align the LED lighting with the vertical grade changes in the seating area. The process required absolute precision that would allow guardrails and multiple stories of balcony lighting seating to line up correctly and create the powerful visual effect desired.

Despite a near four year delay caused by Covid-19, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is a marvel of both technical engineering and construction and a beacon for a burgeoning artistic and performance community in the region.
