The Fairview Lane private residence in Hillsdale, New York, designed by Art Forms Architecture, is a mountain home where architecture and nature are seamlessly connected. Soaring high ceilings, an open concept living plan, and expansive glass windows opening the home to nature define the spatial character of this refined retreat.

The lighting design honors the home's relationship with its natural surroundings. LED wall sconce lighting is integrated throughout the living room to provide soft, indirect illumination that enhances the architecture without competing with the landscape beyond.

Lighting Design Approach

The lighting strategy was guided by a singular design intent: let the light serve the space without drawing attention to itself. WS6215 LED wall sconces in a white powder coat finish fade into the wall of windows, becoming virtually invisible against the bright, nature-filled backdrop of glass and sky.

By specifying a white powder coat finish that mirrors the surrounding wall and window trim, the fixtures maintain visual continuity across the full expanse of glazing.
